Meet Kyle Kay

Hi, my name is Kyle Kay, and I have been in the construction and building inspection industry for over 25 years. My passion for architecture, construction, and helping people make sound property investments has taken me across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, and Costa Rica. As a dual Canadian/Australian, I have had the opportunity to work and travel abroad, learning about different building methods, environmental factors, and design philosophies worldwide.

In 2019, after traveling with my wife and kids, we fell in love with Costa Rica and decided to make Sámara our permanent home. Now, I use my knowledge and experience to help others buy, build, and renovate with confidence in Guanacaste and Puntarenas.

Kyle provided me with a pre-purchase home inspection for a property I was interested in buying in Samara, Costa Rica. His report was crucial in my final decision on the property. His services were timely, thorough and helped me to have a comprehensive idea of what the property needed in terms of investment. The final report was detail oriented yet understandable and included photos and descriptions of all findings. I was able to go back to the seller and open a conversation about price negotiation with the findings. We were able to come to an agreement that the price needed to be lowered as Kyle's findings indicated repairs that were the responsibility of the seller that had not been disclosed. Without Kyle's inspection and report I would have been responsible for tens of thousands of dollars in repairs that would have only become apparent after purchase. Kyle also came highly recommended by both my real estate agent and attorney, both of whom were amazing and went above and beyond in assisting me in the process.
